Youth ministry at Good Shepherd is targeted toward grades 7-12. A variety of activities—Bible studies, service events, and retreats—occur throughout the school year and the summer with the goal of gathering together junior and senior high youth in an environment where discussions of faith can take place.

Our seventh and eighth graders engage in confirmation education to prepare them to affirm their baptism in the fall of their ninth-grade year.

Senior high youth are encouraged to remain active in the congregation through helping with Sunday school, confirmation, and other activities. Weekly Bible studies, retreats, and frequent service projects are also part of senior high youth ministry.

During the summer, both junior and senior high youth are encouraged to participate in one or more of several opportunities provided for them. A mission trip and a wilderness experience are offered for both junior and senior high youth.

Parents and other adults are encouraged to be a part of youth ministry by volunteering to help with Bible studies, confirmation, and service opportunities.
